C-Crete Technologies, a trailblazer in developing cement-free concretes with zero CO2 emissions, proudly unveils the world’s first basalt-based concrete. The recent deployment of basalt-based concrete at 7200 Woodlawn in Seattle on March 14 signifies a breakthrough in sustainable construction. Furthermore, the curing process of basalt-based concrete actively captures CO2 from the atmosphere, enhancing its eco-friendly profile.

Donald Davies, owner of the Seattle building and chair of Building Transparency, praises the significance of this deployment, transitioning basalt-based concrete from a novel material to a pilot-ready solution for larger projects. With compressive strength exceeding 5000 psi and meeting ASTM International standards, this concrete variant maintains cost-parity with conventional counterparts while demonstrating comparable performance metrics.
